New Zealand Qualifications Authority 2016 13145 version 3 Page 2 of 3 Performance criteria 1.1 Potential employers are identified and contact information sourced in accordance with the target group and the needs of individual clients. 1.2 Contact is established with potential employers in relation to the provision of employment opportunities. 1.3 The needs and expectations of potential employers are identified and clarified in relation to specific employment opportunities. 1.4 Relationships with potential employers are maintained in relation to work opportunities for the target group. Element 2 Assess the background, needs and expectations of clients. Performance criteria 2.1 The background of clients is determined in terms of education, skills, interests, values, culture, experience, and qualifications. 2.2 The needs of clients are determined in terms of gender, culture, age, disabilities, and language. 2.3 The expectations of clients are identified and clarified in relation to specific employment opportunities. Element 3 Provide support to and match the needs and expectations of employers and clients. Performance criteria 3.1 Critical needs and expectations of the employers and clients are considered in terms of the placement. Range 3.2 critical needs and expectations include but are not limited to – opportunities to develop skills, preference of clients and employers, safety in the workplace, compliance with health and safety legislation. Support given to the employers and clients in the selection process is in accordance with identified needs. Range support may include but is not limited to – assistance with provision of transportation, interview support, additional information, application completion, advocacy, use of inclusive language. Range the review may be self or peer. Performance criteria 4.1 The review evaluates the placement process in terms of the goals, needs, and expectations of the clients. 4.2 The review evaluates the placement process in terms of the needs and expectations of the employers. 4.3 Feedback from the clients confirms whether their participation in the selection process has met their needs. 4.4 The review confirms whether the provision of follow-up support meets the needs of the employers and clients. Please note Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment. Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards. Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards. Accreditation requirements and an outline of the moderation system that applies to this standard are outlined in the Accreditation and Moderation Action Plan (AMAP). The AMAP also includes useful information about special requirements for organisations wishing to develop education and training programmes, such as minimum qualifications for tutors and assessors, and special resource requirements.
