Describe the effects of climatic and other environmental conditions on camera and
equipment used for racing broadcasting.
Performance criteria
1.1
The effects of climatic conditions on camera and equipment are described.
Range
1.2
climatic conditions – wet weather, heat, humidity, cold.
The effects of other environmental factors on camera and equipment are
described.
Range
other environmental factors may include but are not limited to –
sea spray, salt air, sand, dust, liquids, food, hair;
evidence is required for at least three environmental factors.
Element 2
Describe storage and handling of camera and equipment to avoid problems from climatic
and other environmental factors.
Performance criteria
2.1
The storage and handling of camera and equipment to avoid climatic and
environmental problems are described in terms of manufacturer’s instructions.
Please note
Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated
authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against
unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment.
Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register
credits from assessment against unit standards.
Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards
must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.
