People credited with this standard are able to: determine mechanical equipment requirements to support cleaning processes; and select mechanical cleaning equipment, for purchase or lease, to support cleaning processes. Evidence requirements 1.1 Service specifications are determined for cleaning processes. 1.2 Mechanical equipment needs are determined to meet service specifications. Range 1.4 budgets, staffing levels, staff experience, staff qualifications, training requirements. Industry requirements are determined for cost-effectiveness. Industry requirements are determined for mechanical cleaning equipment used to support cleaning processes. Outcome 2 Select mechanical cleaning equipment, for purchase or lease, to support cleaning processes. Evidence requirements 2.1 Equipment available from suppliers is compared in terms of meeting requirements. 2.2 Selected equipment enables the cost-effective achievement of cleaning service specifications. 2.3 Selected equipment is specified by generic type. 2.4 Selected equipment is available within company’s resources. 2.5 Selected equipment meets company and industry requirements for safety and environmental protection.
