Performance criteria 1.1 Hydrostatic testing equipment is described in terms of its function. 1.2 Components of hydrostatic testing equipment are described in terms of their function. Range pigs, pig trap, pig catcher, pumps, test equipment, test medium, drying medium. Element 2 Describe hydrostatic testing operations. Performance criteria 2.1 Hydrostatic testing is described in terms of principles of operation. 2.2 Hydrostatic testing operations are described in terms of potential hazards of incorrect application of equipment, and the steps to avoid them are described in accordance with company procedures. Element 3 Identify records and describe documentation requirements for hydrostatic testing. Performance criteria 3.1 Records are identified and documentation requirements are described in accordance with company procedures. Range may include but is not limited to – job card, test sheets, consents. Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards. Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.
