Evidence requirements 1.1 Different types of concrete are described in terms of their effect on the core drilling process. Range 1.3 Factors relating to the job to be done are explained in terms of their effect on selection of core drilling equipment. Range 1.4 size of hole, type of material, situation of hole (up or down), site conditions, safety of loose cores, required accuracy. Setup of core drilling equipment for a specified job is described in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, job requirements, and workplace practice. Range water volume, motor speed, correct feed pressure, when to stop, drawing drill bit from hole, ensuring security and safety of core during and after operation. 1.6 Shutdown, core removal, dismantling of core drilling equipment and disposal of slurry are described in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, job requirements, and workplace practice. 1.7 Inspection for damage, cleaning, and lubrication of core drilling equipment and components are described in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, job requirements, and workplace practice.
