Set out stairs. 1.2 On-site measurements are confirmed in accordance with workplace practice. 1.3 Materials quantities are determined and an order placed in accordance with workplace practice. 1.4 The stairs are set out to conform to the working drawings and the specifications. Outcome 2 Manufacture exterior straight flight stairs, handrails, and balustrades. Range may include but are not limited to – housed string, cut string, undercarriages; evidence of one is required. Outcome 3 Manufacture interior stairs, handrails, and balustrades. Range may include but are not limited to – straight flight, quarter turn, quarter turn with winders, dog-leg, open well; closed string, cut string, and under carriages; evidence of one is required. Evidence requirements 3.1 Timber is machined to conform to the set-out and joints are worked in accordance with workplace practice. 3.2 Stair is assembled and finished to the job specifications or in accordance with workplace practice. 3.3 Handrails and balustrades are machined and assembled to conform to the working drawings. 3.4 Protective measures to ensure workplace safety are employed in accordance with workplace practice.
