Performance of the elements of this unit standard must

Definitions
Distribution facility refers to a workplace where the
primary focus is on storage and distribution of stock.
Agreed indicates a course of action that is agreed
between two or more people (including the candidate)
and which follows organisational procedures.
Organisational procedures refer to instructions to staff
on policy and procedures which are formally
documented, or generally accepted within the
workplace.

Efficient distribution of goods is maintained.
1.2
Staffing levels are maintained at a level that optimises efficient operation and
minimises cost.
1.3
Inventory management systems are operated in accordance with organisational
procedures.
Range:
inventory management may include but is not limited to – receipt,
movement, storage, picking, labelling, dispatch, quarantine,
returns, issue, disposal, record keeping, cataloguing.
1.4
Distribution equipment is maintained in accordance with organisational
procedures and budget constraints.
1.5
Organisational output requirements are met within agreed timeframes and
budget constraints.
