Identified concerns, issues, or needs may include but are not limited to: alternative care, community issues, criminal justice, disabilities, economic development, employment, environmental issues, families and whānau, health care, housing and land, human rights, iwi development, legal issues, planning, poverty, psychiatric care, recreation, safety, sexuality, social crisis and change, social policy and services, social structures, alcohol and drug issues, Te Tiriti o Waitangi relationships. Identified concerns, issues, or needs may be cultural, economic, educational, emotional, psychological, physical, spiritual, social, structural, or political, or related to age, gender, or sexual orientation. People awarded credit for this unit standard demonstrate competence in one context, with any combination of the above factors. Range: 1.3 Social services are analysed and explained in terms of the interrelationships of social services with other contemporary structures. Range: 1.4 evidence is required of analysis of the interrelationship between one social service provider identified for performance criterion 1.1 and two contemporary structures. Social services are analysed and explained in terms of their impact on user groups of the social services. Range: 1.5 evidence is required of the historical origins of two contrasting social service providers identified for performance criterion 1.1. impacts may include but are not limited to - positive outcomes; negative outcomes; adequacy of responses to identified community concerns, issues, or needs; adequacy of response to iwi/Māori; adequacy of response to tauiwi. Evidence is required of four impacts of one social service on user groups. Social services are analysed and explained in terms of their accessibility and availability to user groups of the social services. Range: evidence is required in relation to three of the service providers identified for performance criterion 1.1. 1.6 Gaps in social service provision to the community are analysed and explained. 1.7 Analysis of gaps in social service provision to the community identify probable causes for the lack of provision. Range: causes may include but are not limited to - cultural, economic, gender, historical, political, social causes. Evidence is required of one probable cause.
