Description:
XHTML/CSS Students will concentrate their learning on the fundamentals of Web
Page design and development, use of internet services, basic Internet terminology
and concepts, transfer of information electronically, use of the Internet to research
data, plan, design, create and publish web pages.

Corequisite: ITSC 1313 - Instruction in Internet web page design and related graphic
design issues including markup languages, web sites, Internet access software, and
interactive topics. (Formerly TECC 1361)

The Instructor will lecture for 2 hours and then do in class exercises and examples
with the students. The students are also assigned homework at the end of each
class.

There will be 9 assignments given in class and 2 major projects (the midterm and
the other for the final).

Midterm and final assignments will be given in class. A prospectus
will be turned in about the subject of the student’s project before
starting it.
All projects will be done at a portfolio level and must be professional
and pleasing to the eye. Assignments must be well thought out.
If only the requirements of an assignment are met, the grade received
will be a B. To receive an A, the student must go beyond the
requirements and develop an aesthetically pleasing project.
All assignments must be in the instructor’s email by 9:00 am on the
due date. Assignments must be sumitted on time to the instructor as
specified on the syllabus or in class. Late assignments will receive a
zero (0). No make-up assignments will be given.

IP (In Progress) is given only in certain developmental courses. The student must
re-enroll to receive credit. COM (Completed) is given in non-credit and continuing
education courses. To compute grade point average (GPA), divide the total grade
points by the total number of semester hours attempted. The grades "IP," "COM"
and "I" do not affect GPA.

Instructor Grading
Criteria
You will be given an Objective ( both technical and aesthetic) and a Grade
Evaluation Sheet with each assignment. You will be expected to meet the
criteria on each assignment sheet and, turn in the Grade Evaluation Sheet
signed to the Instructor. Grading will be scored by the amount of points
allocated to each criteria. A total number of points will be listed on the grade
sheet for each criteria. The instructor will record a numerical score for each
criteria on the evaluation sheet leading to a total score for the assignment.
Total scores will equal to a letter grade as defined by a predetermined
numerical Scoring range.
