Need for additional Financial Aid Staff at the colleges
At the April 25, 2014, District Education Committee (DEC) meeting, interim Financial Aid
Director, Dave Nguyen, provided a financial aid update.
In the course of his presentation, Dave Nguyen provided a list of staffing in the Financial Aid
Offices at the four colleges and noted the need for more staffing, especially given the FTE to
Applicant Ratio at the four Peralta colleges (see attachment).
The District Education Committee requested that this need be brought to your attention and to
affirm that additional financial aid staffing at the colleges should be a high priority.
