Plan which include the following items and identified the individuals who will be working on
each component:

Definition of Distance Education: Everyone
History of DE at PCCD: Fabian and Linda
Distance Education Mission (mission statement): Everyone
DE Strategic Planning Process: Linda
Strategic Themes







Course and Program Development (policies and procedures): Ann and Tim
Instructional Quality (standards, course content review, faculty evaluation, selection of
faculty): Ann, Alexis and Brad
Professional Development: Alexis
Student Success (completion and retention metrics): May and Linda
Assessment of DE effectiveness (research data and surveys, etc): May and Linda
Governance/Management/Implementation of the DE Plan (responsible parties, timelines,
communication with constituencies): Fabian and Linda
Technology (technological support, integration, infrastructure needs, website portals for
faculty and students): Fabian, Srujana and Michael
Goals and Objectives (activities) for each of the Strategic Themes: Everyone
