Elements and performance criteria Element 1 Determine the requirements for dismantling, inspection, assembly and testing of boat components. Performance criteria 1.1 Component plans and specifications are analysed to determine dismantling, inspection, assembly and testing scope. 1.2 Scope of work is documented in accordance with job requirements. Range 1.3 may include – written instructions, job sheets, marked-up drawings, quote/estimate for work. Work is scheduled in accordance with job requirements. Element 2 Supervise the dismantling, inspection, assembly and testing of boat components. Performance criteria 2.1 Work is supervised so that it meets work scope and work schedule. 2.2 Any non-conformance with work scope is identified and remedied in accordance with job requirements. Range 2.3 Any non-conformance with work schedule is identified and remedied in accordance with job requirements. Range 2.4 may include – instructing staff to remedy mistakes or inaccuracies. may include – revising schedule, adjusting human resource input. Health and safety aspects of the job are monitored in accordance with workplace procedures. Please note Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment. Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards.
