Elements and performance criteria Element 1 Interpret rigging components from a rig design and specification plan. Performance criteria 1.1 Rigging components for a complete rig are itemised from a design/specification plan in list form in accordance with job requirements. Range may include but is not limited to – spars, furling system, mast jacks, standing rigging, running rigging, spreaders, wind gear, outhaul, vang, reefing, headsail luff foils. Element 2 Select or order identified rigging components. Performance criteria 2.1 Components are selected from stock or ordered from suppliers in accordance with job requirements. Element 3 Assemble rigging components ready for fitting. Performance criteria 3.1 Components are assembled prior to fitting in accordance with job requirements. Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards. Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.
