Definition
Company requirements refer to instructions to staff on policy and procedures which
are documented in memo or manual format and are available in the workplace.
These requirements include but are not limited to – company specifications and
procedures, work instructions, manufacturer specifications, product quality
specifications, and legislative requirements.

For this unit standard, it is essential that the practical assessment evidence is
obtained in a motorsport team environment.

The NZ Motor Industry Training Organisation Inc acknowledges the assistance
provided by the Australian Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST) in
permitting their competency unit to be used as the basis for this unit standard. This
unit standard is based on the unit of competency AURM341149A Prepare
competition vehicle and support equipment for transportation.
Elements and performance criteria
Element 1
Prepare to transport competition race vehicles and support equipment to and from a
motorsport event.
Performance criteria
1.1
The competition race vehicle is cleaned and prepared for transportation in
accordance with company requirements.
1.2
Supporting equipment, tooling, and stock are cleaned, packed, and safely
secured in the designated areas in accordance with company requirements.
1.3
The vehicles used for transportation are checked and prepared in accordance
with legislative and company requirements.
Range
vehicles may include trailer;
requirements include current Warrant of Fitness and/or Certificate
of Fitness, visual inspection, operating fluid levels, stowage
requirements, cleanliness, sponsorship.
1.4
Loading is conducted in accordance with company requirements and to the
timelines established.
1.5
Checklist for the loading and securing of the competition race vehicle and
support equipment is completed in accordance with company requirements.
1.6
The site or workshop is left and secured in the standard required by the event
organisers and the company.
1.7
Unloading is conducted in accordance with company requirements and to the
timelines established.

1.8
Any damage caused by transportation is reported to the team manager in
accordance with company requirements.
1.9
Positioning of the vehicles, support equipment, spectator barriers, and display
areas comply with event organiser, company requirements and motorsport
regulations.
1.10
The site arrangements are checked to ensure that all security measures are in
place in accordance with company requirements and motorsport regulations.
1.11
Transporters and/or trailers are cleaned and prepared for future use in
accordance with company requirements.
Please note
Providers must be accredited by NZQA, or an inter-institutional body with delegated
authority for quality assurance, before they can report credits from assessment against
unit standards or deliver courses of study leading to that assessment.
Industry Training Organisations must be accredited by NZQA before they can register
credits from assessment against unit standards.
Accredited providers and Industry Training Organisations assessing against unit standards
must engage with the moderation system that applies to those standards.
Accreditation requirements and an outline of the moderation system that applies to this
standard are outlined in the Accreditation and Moderation Action Plan (AMAP). The
AMAP also includes useful information about special requirements for organisations
wishing to develop education and training programmes, such as minimum qualifications for
tutors and assessors, and special resource requirements.
