Meeting called to order at 10:10 am.
Meeting opened with a brief introduction of members, and what student organizations they are representing.
The minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and there were no changes to report. Minutes were
approved unanimously by all.
Area Reports
The Fitness/Wellness & Aquatics Coordinator informed us that the last Wellness Workshop for the semester is
April 29. The modified finals week Group X schedule will be coming out in May. Summer swim lessons
preparation is in progress and we are starting to get inquiries regarding those lessons. She is also looking for a
new student assistant as her current assistant will be graduating and swim instructors and lifeguards.
The Intramural and Sport Clubs Coordinator reported that we are in our 6th week of intramurals and they are
now running smoothly. The intramural championship games will be held during the week of May 12 -16.
Additionally, we will be having All-Star games this semester which is something new.
The Sport Clubs seasons have started to wind down for the semester. We have seen an increase in interest in
this area.
The Facilities and Informal Recreation Coordinator reported that she is hiring now for Building Supervisors and
gym attendants for summer and fall. Badminton will be cancelled every Thursday during the month of April
due to a scheduling conflict with the gym.
The Office Coordinator updated that the campus recreation calendar merged with the orgsync calendar. They
are also working on marketing the summer swim lessons. We are also putting together a department video.

Committee Updates
The Committee has not met yet.
Informational Topics
Reports on the Director Search –The Campus Recreation Director Search has been re-posted and the search will
continue. The search committee will be meeting soon to review the applications in hope of finding a director by
the start of Fall 2013.
Outdoor Recreation Field – The opening of the outdoor recreation fields has been delayed till the end of the
spring 2013 semester. The fields will open by Fall 2013 and the scheduling policy will be coming shortly.
Annex update – The Annex will be open for a few events late April and May.
DOS Leadership Awards – The award ceremony will be held on April 18th
Action Items
Tennis Courts – Venice presented information regarding the Tennis Court rates. We are looking into whether
we should raise the rates for outside community members using the courts. Currently, the rate is $10 per hour
per court. Venice shared with the group rates from other CSU’s and local entities. It was discussed and the
group agreed that raising the fee to $15 per hour per court was a reasonable amount.
Announcements
RPT – Student Success Day is May 7 from 10- 3 pm in the Quad.
Next meeting will be held on May 9 at 10:00 am. Location still to be determined.
