Notes 1 Consultation Feedback Discussed Draft Analysis of Feedback document. 1.1 Request for a qualification at Level 2 Currently there is only one Level 2 qualification – the National Certificate in Ngā Mahi ā te Whare Pora (Pae Tuatahi) (Level 2) {Ref 0705]. There has been no reported uptake since 2010. Are there any links between the LEVEL 2 qualification in the Creative Arts review and the Ngā Toi landscape? Perhaps the Level 2 Creative Arts qualification structure will allow programmes to be created with a Ngā Toi context? Action 1.2 Links with the Creative Arts Review Action 1.3 MQS to tidy up the Graduate Profile Outcomes, including – using verbs in a consistent manner when requiring the same thing in different outcomes (for clarity). Ngā Matāpono Action 1.5 MQS to include a statement in the Needs Analysis. Strategic Purpose Statements and Graduate Profile Outcomes (3 and 4) Action 1.4 MQS to check possible alignment to the Level 2 Creative Arts qualification, in terms of the Ngā Toi landscape. MQS to work with the Working Group members to include a whakamārama of Ngā Matāpono. Te reo me ngā tikanga Māori Te reo me ngā tikanga is implicit in every aspect of Ngā Toi – kupu, kōrero, tikanga, karakia, waiata etc. Whakaaro to integrate tikanga as well as include more guidance in the qualification conditions in Part II of the development. Page | 1 Notes 1.6 Skills gap within the Graduate Profile Outcomes Health and safety to include care and storage of tools and equipment, as well as self. These are more important at the lower levels, but students should know them by Levels 5 and 6. Presentation skills at Level 3 are more informal – kanohi ki te kanohi with the kaiako. The skills build up over the levels and by Level 6 are more formalised – presentation to the whole class and/or presenting an exhibition. Research skills – not as in depth at Level 3 and Level 4 as the higher levels (5 & 6).
