Marketing Intern Job Description
Marketing Intern will be creative and have excellent communication and writing skills, good computer, social
media and internet skills, as well as possess good collaborative and management skills, initiative, and ability to
work well independently and as part of a team.
The Marketing Intern assists staff and the Resource Development Committee to implement and manage all
marketing and media outreach, and promotional activities of Opportunity House.
The purpose of the marketing and media activities is to increase public awareness of the organization, increase
interest and participation in events and services, and develop and nurture relations within the community.
 Attend Opportunity House related community activities and events.
 Write content and take photos for Facebook Page and release to media.
 Review Facebook page and website; update as needed with timely and correct information.
 Press releases, public service announcement creation and dissemination.
 Develop content for Constant Contact e-blasts. Customize templates for Opportunity House use.
 Develop content for website, press releases, and newsletter with help of Opportunity House staff.
 Develop content for thank-you letters to sponsors, donors, and event participants.
Opportunity House Inc., is a not-for-profit, community sponsored organization providing residential, vocational
and recreational services to people with development disabilities. Our primary service area is DeKalb County.
