EXERCISE: Translating

Either Laura is the best decorator in the family or her sister, Martha, isn’t
telling the truth and I am disappointed.
2.
It’s not true that Antonio’s first language was Spanish. In fact, it was
French, since he was raised in Belgium during World War II.

class will have to decrease or we will have to accept fewer students, but
if the professors are innovative, they might be able to maintain the
quality of instruction.

If all of the three ethics professors in the department work hard then the
department will be able to put on many interesting talks and the budget
might not be cut.

If Wang is unhappy with is grade then he must have gotten less than an
A, which can only happen if and only if he got less than 90 points in the
course and was not able to receive an incomplete.

Ricardo wanted to get his law degree in three years so that he could get
a job quickly but he discovered that some skills are difficult to acquire
and you can’t rush certain types of learning.

Some people in this group think that it is possible to believe in God and
yet still accept the theory of evolution as an account of the development
of humankind. Other people think that, if you accept evolution, you
cannot believe in God. No one believes in God in this group.
