A survivor of domestic abuse, Beverly Gooden created the trending topic
#WhyIStayed in the wake of the Ray Rice assault story when she found so
many comments on social media victim blaming his fiancée about why she chose
to stay. Dedicated to elevating the conversation about intimate partner violence
and to educate others about the complexities of abuse and violence, Beverly is
coming to share her story and talk about the realities and warning signs of
dating violence on college campuses today. Her story has been profiled on Good
Morning America, CNN, TIME, The Washington Post, and Inside Edition.
