Topic: Comments on the Chief Executive’s Policy Address

I have read about the policy address issued by the Chief Executive. I have some
opinions on the two policy proposals below.
Firstly, on the medical aspect, the government provides different programmes and
trainings for medical personnel in order to strengthen the training of them and
encourage the development and pooling of talent. I think this policy is useful since there
were quite a lot of cases of death causing by the mistake and the carelessness of the
personnel. Their work is directly related to the patients’ lives so extra training is a must
to avoid any mistakes so as to provide faultless medical services for us. Government can
also provide appropriate fund for the hospital to buy some advanced medical treatment
facilities to improve the quality of the medical service. It is the job of Hospital Authority
to allocate fund.
Secondly, on the society aspect, one of the policies is about the youth development.
Government will help teenagers cultivate a positive approach to life and fulfill civic
duties through the joint efforts of the Family Council and the Commission on Youth. It is
important to teach them a right moral standard and attitude towards life since they are
the future of a society. Not just educate the teenagers, government should also provide
some talks and teach the parents because family always plays an important role in
nurturing the youths.
To sum up the above points, I think will be successful although they this two policy
proposals still need further improvements. I hope the Chief Executive’s Policy Address
may improve our life in the future.
