Daily Objective: Day 1 –PRESENTATION A B C PROJECT TEKS/AP/Standards: TEKS/AP/Standards: §130.85. 12(B) (PROJECT PRESENTATIONS/) Monday (11) The student develops a basic understanding of audio and video/PRESENTATIONS SKILLS production. The student is expected to: (B) employ knowledge regarding use of video audio by creating an ABC group project: PRESENTING USING POWERPOINT, PREZI, POWTOONS OR WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER. (vii) understanding various audio script and translations of video content.in the form of a project How will we learn it? Learning Activities: Students will complete a 20 slide presentation or clip video which will be uploaded in the HUB so that they can get immediate results on their progress of learning the objectives throughout this week. Students will have to complete this project in groups of 2’s. Each group member can divide the Alphabets and relate each particular alphabet assigned to them to a factor in their lives. How will we tell if we’re learning it correctly? Assessment Methods: The students will log into the HUB and upload their presentations and videos which they will also present in front of the class. All students should complete within 30 minutes and the instructor will use the remaining of the time to review the movie in actual sound. Checks for Understanding: The students will be given detail information on the aspects of the project missed/if any and the teacher will review the report to see what objectives need to be retaught from based on the data tracked from the assessment. What do I need to be successful? Materials: THE HUB, Powerpoint, Sound, Cell phone, Social Media Sites, Windows Movie maker What do I need to before next class? Follow Up/HW: REVIEW ALL NOTES AND THE QUESTIONS MISSED ON PREVIOUS ASSESSMENTS. What are we learning? Daily Objective: Day 2 – Studio Cameras, Operation, Safety and Storage TEKS/AP/Standards: §130.85. 13(B) (11) The student develops a basic understanding of the camera and video production. The student is expected to: (B) employ knowledge regarding use of camera by: (v) understanding various microphones, view finder, lens, and screen based upon type and pickup patterns; (vi) understanding various audio cables and connectors to make the environment safer. Tuesday How will we learn it? Learning Activities: Students will be guided through the NEARPOD Presentation by the teacher, they will preview a Camera Operations, Safety on audio/video basics and review the teacher’s Presentation and complete other activities in the NEARPOD presentation. How will we tell if we’re learning it correctly? Assessment Methods: At the end of the NEARPOD presentation there will be a 5 question quiz on the information covered throughout the entire NEARPOD presentation. The students will be expected to score 75% or greater to demonstrate mastery of the objectives covered today. Checks for Understanding: The teacher will review the reporting data from the NEARPOD quiz and determine which area of the presentation objectives needs more coverage. The students will have a more formal assessment via the HUB on this Friday. Wed/Thur. What do I need to be successful? Materials: Students should bring their agenda/journal’s to write down the week at a glance assignments as well as check their hub accounts so they can later access the powerpoint which will be covered in the NEARPOD presentation. The students should also have their notebooks to take notes throughout the presentation (especially the beginning video). Any notes should be saved to each students’ flash drive. What do I need to do before next class? Follow Up/HW: The students should review their agenda’s and notes taking on the previous day to prepare them for the assessment on Friday and use as a reference for the independent practice assignment: Director’s Cut – Black/White Movie Translations What are we learning? Day 2 – Independent Practice & Audio/Video Basics Review Director’s Cut Assignment – Black/White Movie Translations of a “COMEDY” TEKS/AP/Standards: §130.85. 11(B) (11) The student develops a basic understanding of audio and video production. The student is expected to: (B) employ knowledge regarding use of audio by: (vii) understanding various audio script and translations of video content. How will we learn it? Learning Activities: The students will complete an independent practice assignment. They will review a video, which the teacher will make available in the HUB.. The students will have 40 minutes to review the short movie and determine what words should be said by the characters in the movie (the audio) and if they would make this movie a much better movie for 2015, how would they change the background to make it a hit video/movie. The students should discuss scenery, background noises (positive/negative) and what is the best way to produce the movie. How will we tell if we’re learning it correctly? Assessment Methods: The teacher will spend the remainder of the class showing the students the actual words to accurately describe what is going on in the video and allow several of the students to share how they would make the movie a hit show. Checks for Understanding: The students will have to submit their answers to the assignment using the HUB and the teacher will review for understanding of the subject matter and objectives covered. What do I need to before next class? Follow Up/HW: Materials: Students should bring their agenda/journal’s to write down the week at a glance assignments if they did not do it previously as well as check their hub accounts so they can later access the powerpoint which will be covered in the NEARPOD presentation. Daily Objective: Day 3 – Exam and Extension Activities, if time permits Friday TEKS/AP/Standards: TEKS/AP/Standards: §130.85. 13(B) (ASSESSMENT) (11) The student develops a basic understanding camera operations. The student is expected to: (B) employ knowledge regarding use of audio by: (vii) understanding various audio script and translations of video content. How will we learn it? Learning Activities: Students will complete a 20 question quiz in the HUB and present camera drawings so that they can get immediate results on their progress of learning the objectives throughout this week. Students will have to complete multiple choice as well as theoretically think and answer open-ended responses to scenarios that will enable the instructor to know whether or not they have effectively mastered this week’s content. How will we tell if we’re learning it correctly? Assessment Methods: The students will log into the HUB and complete the assessment. All students should complete within 30 minutes and the instructor will use the remaining of the time to review the syllabus for the remaining of the school term. Checks for Understanding: The students will be given detail information on the questions missed/if any and the teacher will review the report to see what objectives need to be retaught from based on the data tracked from the assessment.
