Country/Cultural Project
Geography
Directions: You will work on one country for your country/cultural project. You will
gather specific information about your country and will put that information on your
graphic organizer. Once you have gathered all of your information, you will then add
pictures and maps to your collage (on poster paper).
***You will have one day in the computer lab to search on the internet for information
on your country. In addition, you will have one day in class to find more information
about your country using the textbook and atlas.
GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN PUTTING YOUR PROJECT TOGETHER!!!!!
PART ONE: You will be given a country to work on for your project, and gather
information, pictures, and maps.
Information that you need to find and add to your cultural project for a grade:
1. Map of the country
2. Flag of the country
3. Capital City
4. Language(s)
5. Religion(s)
6. Population
7. Specialty Foods (might be traditional)
8. Climate
9. Government
10. Economy
11. Currency of the country
12. Agriculture
13. Any major landforms (ex. Lakes, rivers, mountains, volcano)
14. One paragraph of what you like about your country.
PART TWO: Organizing your information onto your poster paper.
1. Put all of your information, pictures and maps onto your poster paper making a
collage.
2. Put your graphic organizer on the back of your poster paper. (Glue, tape, or staple
it).
3. Be sure to put your one paragraph of what you liked about your country either on
the front or back of your poster paper.
PART THREE: Presentation
1. Present your country to the entire class. This is part of your grade.
2. Once you have presented your cultural project, you will then hand it in to
Mr. Smith for a final grade.
