I am so excited to for the 2014-2015 school year! We will have lots of fun
learning math using creative ways through technology and interactive
notebooks. I strongly encourage my students to always do their best and
always ask questions. I am here to help! During 7th grade math, students will
be learning Pythagorean Theorem, rate of change, functions, linear equations,
algebra methods, geometry solutions for volume, area and surface area and
much more! I will be following the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills
(TEKS) curriculum. Throughout the year, I will be keeping you updated on
how to help your daughter at home. Overall, having both student
determination and parent support, I know we will be successful. If you have
any questions, comments or suggestions please feel free to contact me. I look
forward to a successful new school year at YWCPA! –Ms. Telitha Carter

Late Work
Projects
If a student is absent, it is
the student’s responsibility
to obtain the missing
assignments from the
absent wall/folders.
Students will have the
number of days absent to
complete the work (i.e. 1
day absent = 1 day to turn
in work.
All late assignments
submitted must be turned
in to the “Late Inbox” and
not the regular inbox. All
late work will receive at
most a grade of 50. No late
work past 2 school days
will be accepted.
There will be projects assigned
throughout the year. They will
sometimes require the purchase of
supplies, time to research, the use of
technology, or time to meet with
group members outside of school
hours. If this will be a problem,
please make sure to contact Ms.
Carter at least 2 weeks before the
project is due for an alternate
assignment. Any concerns
mentioned less than 2 weeks from
the due date will not be accepted.
Do not wait until the last minute.
