COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course focuses on residential repair maintenance and construction. Students learn basic repair,
maintenance and safety practices in plumbing, electrical and carpentry. Students will learn earthquake
safety practices and readiness. The course prepares students for employment in related fields of
plumbing, electrical, sheet rock, apartment maintenance and management as well as home inspection.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the completion of the course the student will be able to:
demonstrate skills and safety practices in the repair of basic residential units and maintenance.
demonstrate problem solving skills, safety practices and repair techniques in drywall taping.
demonstrate problem solving skills, safety practices and repair techniques in electrical applications.
demonstrate problem solving skills, safety practices and repair techniques in plumbing
