Emphasis will be given to understanding the special needs child within the context of the family. Not repeatable COURSE OBJECTIVE At the completion of the course the student will be able to: Discuss the principles of normal and atypical development. Discuss the benefits of inclusion for children with and without disabilities. Build a base of knowledge that will allow caregivers to feel comfortable with children with disabilities. Explain the law affecting families of children with special needs.
