COURSE/CATALOG DESCRIPTION
This course will include information that will assist with planning and implementing a school age curriculum
for children between the ages of 5-14 years. Course content will include such areas as program
organization, human relations, environment and anti-bias education. Not repeatable
COURSE OBJECTIVE
At the completion of the course the student will be able to:
- Evaluate a quality school age environment.
- Plan and organize a quality school age classroom.
- Use positive communication techniques with children, staff and parents.
- Plan schedule and developmentally appropriate learning activities.
- Integrate anti-bias curriculum into classroom activities.
