Seven Week (30 Hours/Week) Structured Research Colloquium Experience

GRE preparation workshop

Assistance with the Design, Completion, and Presentation of a Quality Research Project

Coursework Related to the Pursuit of a Graduate Degree

Travel to a conference (and presentation of research for those far enough advanced in
their research projects)
Academic Year Program (MANDATORY PARTICIPATION)

Monthly meetings with speakers who discuss graduate school tips and information

Monthly attendance at a campus event aimed to help you prepare for graduate school

Meetings with the assistant director to update status
Upon Completion of the McNair Scholars Program (MANDATORY PARTICIPATION)

Submit completed research paper for publication in the McNair Scholars Journal

Submit applications to at least two graduate programs

Meet with assistant director for exit survey

Commit to keeping in touch with the McNair Program for tracking purposes
