This student has applied to the Wesleyan McNair Program, which assists students from
underrepresented groups in preparing for, entering, and progressing successfully through postgraduate education. The Wesleyan McNair Program will provide guidance, research
opportunities, and academic and financial support to eligible juniors and seniors planning to go
on to PhDs, particularly in the fields of math or science.
The Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program, funded by the US Dept. of
Education, focuses on students who are first generation college students from low-income
families, or are African-American, Hispanic, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander, or
Native American.
