DRESS CODE POLICY
Navy Blue polo shirt with the BCMA logo, tucked – in
Khaki pants or knee-length khaki skirt, with belt (cargo pants or cargo shorts are not allowed)
Navy Blue BCMA sweater or Solid Navy Blue sweater
BCMA I.D. worn around the neck at all times
Only on Fridays: Students are allowed to wear solid blue jeans (no cuts, holes or tears) with
their BCMA spirit shirt or college shirt.

Pre-Assessment of Texas History finding primary sources using databases (bring a smart
device)
Thursday (Blue “A” Day) and Friday (“Burgundy “B” Day)
 Determining bias and point of view
 HOMEWORK: Create a cartoon that depicts bias.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS with Ms. Davis and Ms. Yap




Begin the non-fiction unit with a close reading of a speech (examining tone and effective
delivery as well as intended purpose and developing vocabulary)
Determine the most significant events in the summer reading text(s) and create life-size
timelines; make connections between timeline events and summarizing
Determine a thematic connection between both texts and use this as a basis for analysis.
Analyze narrative poem and discuss its place within non-fiction

and "FYI" vocabulary in preparation for the Scientific Method Quiz.

Students will study the circulatory system in detail for the remainder of the week taking
notes on key structures and their functions.
Students will evaluate prior knowledge covering Health Science via the Baylor College
of Medicine Pre-Assessment, a formative assessment designed to help students and
teachers efficiently move through module 1 covering the cardiovascular system.
Students will examine the fundamental architecture of the human circulatory system
preparing them for inquiry into the system’s physiology.

Students will work on reviewing sentences and start our work in Greco-Roman
mythology.
