Please cover all of the following bullet points taken from the Programme Specification review criteria:

Clarity of objectives for the collaboration;
The relevance of the collaboration to the University’s Strategic Plan;
The reasons for choosing the specified partners at this time;
Viability of programme of activities;
Plan for delivery: name those responsible for the delivery of each element of the plan and ensure that
they have the necessary capacity
Evidence of commitment to the partnership/network from both external partner(s) and the host
School(s). This may include financial investment and/or the investment of other resources into the
partnership.
Please attach letter(s) of support from external partner(s) outlining their commitment to the
partnership/network including any resources that they will contribute.
If the application is to further develop an existing partnership/network please be explicit about the extent of
existing links and what value this application will add.

PART 3: ANTICIPATED OUTCOMES (maximum 1 page)
This section should include details of:
 The value added to the research centre’s research portfolio;
 Likelihood that the partnership/network will generate external funding, high quality research and
outputs e.g. anticipated collaborative research bids, joint publications and other research activity;
 The extent to which the proposed outcomes justify the costs;
 How this partnership/network may be taken forward once the initial funding period has ended.

PART 4: IMPACT ON INTERNATIONAL PROFILE (maximum 1 page)
This section should include details of how the partnership/network will enhance the international reputation of
the Centre and the University, with reference to:
 The international reputation of the centres/universities/organisations involved in the partnership and
implications of the partnership for the reputation of the Centre or University;
 The extent to which the proposal is notable or newsworthy and likely to attract media attention or
publicity, either within the field or more broadly;
 How the partnership/network will be promoted to enhance the centre’s international profile, e.g.
through events, web, social media, etc.;
 Opportunities the partnership may provide for the recruitment of international staff or students.
