EASEMENT FOR HEBER LIGHT AND POWER
ISSUE
Heber light and Power has requested an easement on Utah Valley University property located
on the Wasatch Campus. Granting of easements requires approval of the Board of Trustees.
BACKGROUND
Heber Light and Power currently has a substation located on the north east portion of the UVU
Wasatch Campus. They also have an easement running west along the UVU north roadway.
They would like an additional easement for an underground power line to run east to the upper
canal. The size of this easement is 142 feet by 10 feet and is in the northeast corner of the UVU
property. As compensation for the easement, UVU has been offered $1,500.00. It is a very
small piece of property and is not anticipated to be part of any master plan for the campus.
RECOMMENDATION
The UVU administration recommends that the Board of Trustees approve the easement to
Heber Light and Power for the underground power line.
