As with most university level courses the general rule of thumb is for every hour spent in class you should set aside at least two hours outside of class to master the material. It may take some of you more time than others depending on your comfort level with the subject matter. This course uses lectures, assignments and projects to teach you the material. Lectures are not the time for you to complete your assignments. Do not try and keep up with every mouse click during a demonstration but instead focus on taking good notes and then using your notes and book to try the concepts later. The assignments from the book are given to practice the skills required to complete the projects. These assignments are not very difficult or time consuming but are important when it comes to learning the software.
