IT Leadership Directors Meeting
Minutes for Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in BA005

Agenda Items:

Chip Award
o Congrats to Riley Kratochvil
Password Reset Day
o Every Monday morning process expires passwords that haven’t been changed in 1 year
and sets a flag.
o Email is sent out 2 weeks prior to expiration date. It will then force them to change it
day of expiration date. Faculty/Staff may get locked out if not changed correctly on
devices (directions are in warning email).
o About 10,000 passwords will expire before Monday, March 17th.
Wendia Discussion
o POB – Point of Business is the new service management software everyone will be
using.
o Look at Excel project plans (Ray attached in email) to see what pages of workshop
documentation your area is required to look over and approve. Just read over sections
that are pertained to your area.
o Wendia cannot start building software until Brett’s team setup and create file servers –
Due March 31st.
o Major tasks are due April 7th. They may take a few minutes – to a few days. Please
warn your teams of these projects. If you don’t have time to complete each task, just
partially do it and we can fix errors in test mode.
o Admins will be trained in April.
Misc.
o March 30th is D-day for Fall registration
o You will begin getting notices from Payroll about year-end budgets. Begin to think if you
have any RFP’s (or other major purchases) that needs to be included in your budget.
o Campus wide security training email will be sent out. Because IT has already completed
the training, they will not receive the campus wide email. We are also looking at
purchasing a phishing scheme training from SANS in the future.
o Oracle will be on campus next week discussing Business Intelligence. If you haven’t
been invited and wish to be involved contact Tom Rasmussen.
