Nicholas Bewes
Chief Executive, Howard Group
Nicholas is Chief Executive of The Howard Group, a family owned property and investment
group which was established in 1935. As well as his responsibilities within the Company,
Nicholas is also a member of the Family Council which helps to shape and represent the
interests of the shareholders within the family business. The Howard Group today operates
from Cambridge and is one of the leading property development and investment companies
in the region.
Nicholas is also the regional chairman of the Institute for Family Business in the East of
England and has been involved in working amongst other family businesses both in the
region and further afield. He is a Board member of Cambridge Ahead, a business and
academic member group focused upon the successful long term growth and development of
Cambridge both within the UK and globally. Nicholas has recently become a Council
Member of Oak Hill Theological College in London.
Prior to joining the Howard Group in 1999, Nicholas worked with The BOC Group for ten
years where he held various management positions. His roles encompassed change
management, marketing and communications, product development and global supply
management.
Nicholas lives in Cambridge with his wife and three children.
