Andy Bond

Andy Bond has recently set up a number of companies and operates as an investor
manager championing entrepreneurial businesses on the verge of the next stage of
growth and helping them move up to that next level. He is also Chairman of Wiggle.
Previously he was Chairman of the Asda Executive Committee from April 2010 to
January 2011, appointed President & CEO of Asda in March 2005, starting his Asda
career as a Marketing Manager in 1994, but during his 16 years at the company he has
held various positions, including: COO where he was responsible for Retail Operations
and Logistics, Managing Director for George, taking over when George Davis left the
company, and Marketing Director - a position he progressed to within three years of
joining Asda.
Andy was educated at Kings Grammar School Grantham, before studying Engineering at
Salford University where he achieved a 1st Class Honours Degree. He started his career
as a graduate trainee at British Gas, before attending Cranfield School of Management
where he studied for an MBA. He was awarded Cranfield's Top Student Award that year.
He has been recognised by Salford University with an Honorary Doctorate.
He is married with two children.
