What We Learned
This Week…
Math – This week we learned how to use the formula to
calculate the volume of rectangular prisms and liquids. We
also reinforced our problem solving skills by solving realworld problems involving the volume of solids.
Reading – We continued our unit on text sets by reading a
variety of articles and infographics on immigration. We
identified the main idea and supporting details of articles
and defined domain-specific vocabulary.
Writing – We worked with our immigration text set to
respond to essential questions. We compared and
contrasted main ideas and authors' purposes and found
textual evidence to support our opinions.
