1. I understand the key components for Writing
stated in Appendix A of the ELA CCSS.
2. I understand the progressive relationship of
the ELA CCSS across all grade levels, especially
in the area of writing.
3. I understand the shifts in practice required of
me in the areas of Writing from Sources and
Narrative writing.
4. I have read and understand the organizational
design of the PARCC Content Model
Frameworks for my grade level especially as it
relates to writing.
5. I understand the PARCC writing types as they
relate to the writing types required by CCSS.
6. I have read and understand Best Practices in
Writing as they relate to my grade level
located at www.ilwritingmatters.org .
7. I understand the key areas of focus relating to
Text Dependent Questioning and writing as
they relate to my grade level.
8. I understand the levels of implementation for
writing and where I fall on the ELA
Implementation Guide.
9. I understand the EQUiP rubric and how it
applies to writing instruction and applying it to
development of units of instruction.
