Consider your own social circle. Make your own social network chart.

Suppose your parents come from different ethnic backgrounds (say one
Javanese and the other is Bataknese). What is your ethnicity then? Why do
you choose it to be your ethnicity?
3.
In African American Vernacular, there are some distinct features such as the
omission of ‘to be’, ‘ain’t’ for ‘is not’ or ‘are not’ (see your text book page
177-179). In your own vernacular, are there any distinctive features? (e.g.
‘dong’ is uniquely a feature of Jakarta dialect.) List at least 10 features in your
own vernacular.
