White, Instructor Course Syllabus Welcome and it is a pleasure to have you explore with me the study of digital and interactive media applications, concepts and software in the course of Digital Media. Purpose The knowledge and skills acquired and practiced will enable students to successfully perform and interact in a technology-driven society. Students enhance reading, writing, computing, communication, and critical thinking and apply them to the information technology environment. DIGITAL MEDIA Course Description Through the study of digital and interactive media and its application in information technology, students will analyze and assess current and emerging technologies, while designing and creating multimedia projects including the school yearbook and also address customer needs and resolve problems. Students implement personal and interpersonal skills to prepare for a rapidly evolving workplace environment. Supplies Required Color Coded Folders (Portfolio) 1 Flash Drive (store documents) Black or Blue Pen Binder for note paper Portfolio Binder Grading All objectives and tasks are weighted as follows: Exams / Deadlines 30% Application Labs - Class Work 20% Projects/Portfolio of Folders 20% Home learning (Events After School) 20% Presentation/Participation 10% Total 100% Active Participation The 10 percent of the grade dealing with Active Participation means that the student actively participates in the communication of the class. Feedback Comments on graded work Grades will be received within a week from when an assignment is submitted. Calls will be made to parents as needed if work is continuously submitted late or not completed.
