The acronym PLEASE helps students write and organize a paragraph.
1. Pick a topic.
2. List your ideas about the topic.
3. Evaluate your list.
4. Activate the paragraph with a topic sentence.
5. Supply supporting sentences.
6. End with a concluding sentence and Evaluate your work.
Comments and/or tips:

Model the steps of the strategy when introducing it.

Have the acronym posted for students to use as a reference.

This strategy can be generalized to all subject areas.
