Procedures/Steps:
This bid for attention strategy involves using positive reinforcement to
encourage positive behavior.
1. Provide ample attention of positive behaviors.
2. Teach ways that positive attention can be attained.
3. Inappropriate behavior should be addressed and child should be
shown what the correct behavior involves.
Comments and/or tips:
 Creating a positive environment is essential for this strategy.
 Make sure to acknowledge as many good behaviors as possible.
