Identify the major structures and great vessels of the heart. 2. Trace the circulation of blood through the heart and coronary vessels. 3. Name and locate the elements of the heart conduction system. 4. Define cardiac output and explain the influence of various factors in the regulation. 5. Identify the normal heart sound and relate them to the corresponding events in the cardiac cycle. 6. Describe normal variations in assessment findings for the older adult. 7. Identify common manifestations of altered cardiac function. 8. Identify diagnostic test used to assess cardiac functioning and the significance of each. 9. Describe nursing care of patient undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology study.
