VOCATIONS
Unless a seed first dries out and dies, it cannot
be planted in the earth to grow. Unless we die
to our selfish ways, we cannot expect to be
people who will “lay down their lives for their
friends”. If you think God is calling you to lay
down your life as a priest, religious or deacon for

SHARELIFE
WORKING WONDERS IN OUR COMMUNITY….
“You don’t have to look far to see the wonders being worked by ShareLife in your
neighbourhood, in the homes on your street, in the pews of your parish. ShareLife agencies
provide competent, faith-informed care to those who turn to them for help, regardless of
their beliefs or background. Last year, more than 250,000 people in our Archdiocese were
helped in more than 20 languages, receiving the compassion, care and respect they rightly deserve. In addition,
countless others were assisted through outreach programs around the world.
— Cardinal Thomas C. Collins, Archbishop of Toronto
Today is ShareLife Sunday.
Please give generously. You can work WONDERS!

THE PASSOVER SEDER – UNDERSTANDING OUR
JEWISH
ROOTS – March 29th
The feast of
Passover is the central
story of the
Jewish
people,
first
celebrated
3,500 years ago, when
God was about to deliver the Israelites out of their
enslavement in Egypt. In the Seder (which means “order”)
meal, we eat special foods that have symbolic significance
and tell the story of the departure from Egypt, sing songs
and say special prayers. It will give a new dimension to
understanding the Mass and will set the scene for Holy
Week in a very special way. All are welcome to experience
this Seder Meal presentation! To reserve your ticket(s),
please call the St. Francis Xavier Parish Office, 905 890
