In the Archdiocese of Toronto ShareLife will help the needy through the 34 agencies of Catholic Charities. ShareLife also helps St. Augustine’s Seminary for the education of priests and permanent deacons. St. Augustine’s Seminary was established in 1913 and since then, thousands of Priests graduated (including Fr. Ed and Fr. Kim). The priests are put at the service of God, in the parishes of the Archdiocese of Toronto. Also, money raised goes to help our brothers and sisters in the Third World Countries of the Continents of South America, Africa and Asia, through CCPODP (the Canadian Catholic Organization of Development and Peace) which was established in Toronto in 1967, in order to improve the lives of the poor, by teaching them better farming techniques, so that they can become self sufficient in the production of food. The Toronto Pastoral Mission \Fund, helps improve the spiritual lives of the poor by helping missionaries educate seminarians and catechists. Missionaries are also provided with funds to purchase vehicles to visit scattered missions and provide them with instruction materials Registered parishioners will receive a package from the ShareLife office containing a letter from Archbishop Thomas Collins, a brochure about ShareLife and a pledge form.
