Welcome back to a new school year! My
name is Mrs. Petrusa and I will be your
child’s grade 2 teacher. I am looking
forward to working in partnership with you
to help your child learn, grow and work to
the best of their potential. Now that
schedules have been finalized, I am able
to send home the first of many monthly
newsletters and calendars.
Thank you for reviewing the
following information:
Let’s Get Healthy!!!!!!!!!!!!
Folders and Agenda:
Your child will be bringing
home a folder that has two
sides, one for items that
stay home, and one for
items to be returned to
school. Students will be
required to record
information in their agendas
on a daily basis. Please
ensure that you check your
child’s agenda and folder
daily. I also ask that you initial
the agenda to indicate that
you have seen what has been
recorded. The agenda is
used to record homework,
reminders and for teacherparent communication. The
cost of the agenda is $5.
Please send the money in as
soon as possible.
During the day the children will be given the opportunity to
have 2 snacks, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
Nutritious snacks are strongly recommended (e.g. fruits,
vegetables, dairy products etc.). Students will eat their lunch
at 12:46. Please do not send food products that contain nuts,
due to students with severe allergies.
Please remember to fill out the
attached information sheet.
Should any change in routine
occur –please notify me in
writing (via the agenda)

OUR CLASSROOM
It is my goal to create a safe and inviting learning environment in
which all students will be able to reach their full potential. The
children will participate in inquiry-based, group and individual
learning activities on a daily basis. Please feel free to contact me at
the school should you have any questions.
