Dear First Grade Families,
As mentioned earlier this year, we will be
studying Rocks and Soils this fall as part of our
science curriculum. We thought it would be fun for
everyone to make their own rock collections! Hunt
around different places and try to find a variety of
rocks. Please place the collected rocks into an
empty dozen egg carton. Your child may decorate the
top of the container if they wish. Please make sure
your child’s name is on the container.
Your child should bring his/her ROCK COLLECTION
to school by Thursday, October 2nd.

interesting rocks!
