Christian Aid Week is 10th – 16th May 2015. Collectors are needed to cover as many streets as possible on Newton Hall. Street lists will be available in the foyer at the end of April. Bishop’s Prayer Walk in Durham deanery 21st -24th May NECAT: North East Churches Acting Together – Service at 2pm on Sat 23rd May. This year marks the 900th anniversary of St Godric going to Finchale Priory in Durham. St Godric follows in the tradition of the great Northern Saints in his zeal for the Gospel and his love of our region. he lived as a hermit at Finchale dedicating his life to prayer. To give thanks for the life of Godric we are holding a pilgrimage and service at the beautiful setting of Finchale priory on the banks of the Wear. The service will be led by the Rt Revd Paul Butler, Bishop of Durham, accompanied by the other church leaders, it will have a focus on prayer, especially prayers for the North East and for renewal of religious life.
