Welcome To Grade 1!!
Sept 9/15
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to the start of
an exciting new school year! Over the course of the year we will have many
opportunities to celebrate special events and activities that will help us grow both
mentally and spiritually.
Our classroom motto is “Friends Helping Friends.” I hope to build a strong sense
of sharing and caring for one another, as we learn the importance of community.
Together we will learn and live in a welcoming community and we will also learn how
to solve problems in a positive way.
Academically, we will explore nature, the environment and our community as well as
discover math, science, social studies, reading, writing and so much more! Students
will have daily opportunities to read and write, work in small/large groups, listen to
bible stories and share their personal thoughts. By working together we will enjoy
an enriching year!
During the year you will receive newsletters every month from the school and
every other month from myself. Please take a few minutes to read all papers and
information sent home today. Agenda’s are coming home too. Please ensure you
check your child’s agenda each and every night for messages. The agenda is our way
to communicate to each other.
