Study Away Scholarships
PURPOSE:
For the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University to
allocate $500.00 from general senate funding to create Study Away scholarships.
WHEREAS: The Study Away office provides students with off-campus learning opportunities
throughout the United States, and
WHEREAS: Western Kentucky University’s Study Away program serves the community by
engaging students, faculty, and staff in educational and cultural experiences
beyond the campus borders, and
WHEREAS: The Study Away office will use the funding to create five one-hundred dollar
scholarships, and
WHEREAS: The scholarships can be used during the January and Spring semesters.
THEREFORE:
Be it resolved that the Student Government Association of Western
Kentucky University allocate $500.00 from general senate funding to create five
Study Away scholarships.
