Study Away Scholarships
PURPOSE:
For the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University to allocate
$800.00 from general senate funding to create eight one-hundred dollar Study Away
scholarships.
WHEREAS:
The Study Away office provides students with learning opportunities throughout the
United States, and
WHEREAS:
Western Kentucky University’s Study Away program serves the community by engaging
students, faculty, and staff in educational and cultural experiences beyond the campus
borders, and
WHEREAS:
this funding will be used to create eight one-hundred dollar scholarships awarded to
Western Kentucky University students, and
WHEREAS:
The Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University will be
responsible for choosing the recipients of the scholarships.
THEREFORE: Be it resolved that the Student Government Association of Western Kentucky University
allocate $800.00 from general senate funding to create eight Study Away scholarships.
